Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2+ years of experience required License: Active American Heart Association BLS Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Proficient in Orthopedic procedures, specifically total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, and shoulder scopes and replacements Vascular proficiency Neuro proficiency Completion of 2+ travel assignments Successful completion of prior assignments Description: Surgical Technologists are responsible for assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients by performing scrub duties. They provide assistance in emergency procedures as well as elective and scheduled cases. The role includes assisting in the preparation, transportation, and supervision of patients. Maintaining education in the surgical operating room and related aspects of patient care is essential. On-call duties may be required, averaging 5-6 calls per month.
