Join a dynamic surgical team as an experienced RN in the Operating Room, supporting advanced orthopedic procedures in a well-established hospital setting. This 13-week contract position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work primarily with total joint replacements, arthroscopy, spine, foot and ankle, hand surgeries, and select general, ENT, GYN, and plastic cases.
Location:
Positioned in Black Hawk, South Dakota, this facility features 11 OR suites plus 1 GI suite, managing an average of 30 to 50 cases daily. Responsibilities:
- Circulate during a variety of surgical procedures, with a strong focus on orthopedic cases including total joints and arthroscopy
- Operate and assist with the MAKO robotic system, highly preferred
- Flexibly float between multiple units and departments as needed
- Participate in on-call rotations including 1-2 weekday shifts and 1 weekend call shift per month
- Stay late when short staffed, typically until 4:30 PM once weekly
Qualifications:
- Current South Dakota or compact state RN license
- 3-4 years of recent circulator experience in the OR
- Strong orthopedic experience, specifically with total joints and arthroscopy
- ACLS and BLS certification, American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Prior robotics experience, specifically with MAKO, is highly preferred
- Must have not worked for the health system within the past 6 months (if applicable)
Job Details:
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Scrubs provided on site
- Living within 80 miles results in adjusted hourly rate
- Must badge in and out each shift
